The Berkeley West Thames team have partnered with HSSH (Hope for Southall Street Homeless) to create a community changing offer.
HSSH was founded in January 2016. Following the passing of a young, homeless man who froze to death on the entrance steps of a Southall church, local faith leaders rallied together to take action.
Through participating in events including marathons, triathlons and a Golf Day, the Berkeley West Thames team have secured the employment of a Punjabi speaking full-time Complex Case Worker for the charity.
The charity now also offer both a day and night shelter, accommodating up to 14 guests.
To date, Berkeley West Thames have raised £100,000 for the charity.
The Berkeley Foundation
The Berkeley Foundation was set up in 2011. It supports voluntary organisations to help improve people's lives in the communities in which we work. To date, it has raised over £14.9 million for over 100 charities and worthy causes.
The GAYE (Give as you Earn) initiative allows Berkeley West Thames team members to contribute a monthly amount of their salary to a charity of their choice. This amount is then matched by the Berkeley Foundation.
